Beauty Buzz: Headband Braid

Braids have been a hot hair trend, and I am totally obsessed with this headband braid. This boho chic look is a great style for messy hair days and for the warmer days to keep long out of the face. What I love most about this do is that the hair is styled with a fishtail braid rather then the traditional French or Dutch braid. If you want to learn how to achieve this look check back in for a hair tutorial!

Prabal Gurung Collection at Target

Between fashion week and Target commercials I have been constantly hearing about the Prabal Gurung Collection at Target. So I finally walked across the street to my local Target to check out the collection, and I love it! The signature floral colorful print can be found on many of the pieces in the collection. I decided to purchase the pull over sweatshirt because it’s such a fun and chic look. What I love about the sweatshirt is that its super cozy and I love how the print goes throughout the front and back of the shirt. This piece is a great transitional look for spring. So if you love the look just as much as I do go head over to your local Target and shop the collection!

RedCarpet Recap: Grammy Awards

Last night Grammy Awards was to recognize the great talented musicians of the year, but there would be no Grammy’s without fashion. I could not wait to see some of my favorite celeberties style; especially since there was a new dress code in place. And might I say some of these ladies pushed the dress code to the limit. Many celebs hit the red carpet wearing some hot and not so hot trends of the season. Here are some of my favorite looks that hit the carpet.

Ms. Kelly Rowland actually surprised me last night rocking this gorgeous black gown by George Chakra.

And Rhi-Rhi just can’t do any wrong in my book she always looks beautifully I did expect more from the pop star, but Rihanna kept it classy in a pretty red custom made dress by Alaia.

Mrs. Carter is sometimes a hit or miss with fashion but last night Beyonce was on trend with a Black & White one piece that was super chic go Bey!!!

And we cannot forget about our American Sweet Heart Taylor Swift. She looked amazing and goddessy in this white gown by J. Mendel, and her hair just pulled the look completely together!

For the not so hot I will have to give it to Florence Welch I just was not feeling her whole aligator skin look. The color was beautiful, but it was not my cup of tea, but I love that she was daring and went for it.

Who do you think was best dressed at last nights Grammy Awards? Comment below for who should get best dressed.

So day one of fashion week is over and I wanted to share some of my favorite looks from BCBG Max Azria Fall 2013 Ready-to-Wear Collection. The fabric of the season leather is back again! And the designer couldn’t have done it better by pairing leather with feminine pieces and keeping the edgy look with the beanie hats. I also love how the designer brought so many trends together like leather, fur, and lace. I definitely think we will be seeing more prints on the runway as well. I think the collection is a great mixture of edgy chic, and I cannot wait to transition this look into my fall wardrobe! Stay tuned for more runway looks we love and tell me what you think about the Ready-to-Wear Collection?
