A Belt is an easy piece to turn a simple outfit to a chic look. Now I must admit that I am usually not a belt wearer, but lately I’ve been obsessing over skinny belts.  Skinny belts are becoming my go-to –accessory because it is such an easy piece to enhance your look. Belts can easily incorporate a little color into outfit or to accentuate your waste.  What I love most about skinny belts is that you can play around with the way they can be worn. No more looping your belt the basic way! Take your skinny belt and create different loops and styles that will bring your look together.  So don’t waste your waist and go shop for the skinny belt!

How to wear tights

Tights are one of my wear everywhere pieces that can be used for any season. Wearing tights is an affordable simply way to transform an outfit. Tights can be paired with a cute shirt dress, skirts, and tunics. Also, tights are a super easy and comfortable piece to throw on; instead of trying to squeeze your legs and thighs into some skinny jeans. Tights come in many different colors, styles, prints, and fabrics, but every girl should start out with the basics. I would recommend starting out with basic colors such as black, grey, and brown. I always opt to keep it simple with full covered foot tights or footless tights. My number one rule with wearing tights is to ALWAYS cover your backside and front. Keep in mind that tights are not jeans and you do not want to over expose private areas. Below I will show you how I took one outfit and paired it with three different styles of tights.

1. Basic Black footless Tights

The basic black footless tights are a versatile piece to own because it can transition through a few seasons such as fall, spring, and winter. I paired these tights with a pair of suede wedge heels from Bakers, but they also can be paired with sandals, riding boots, or pumps.

2. Grey Full Covered Foot Tights

The full covered foot tight is appropriate to use for the colder season and when you want to look a little more formal (i.e. work, events). During the winter season I like to go with the full covered foot tights because the material is thicker and keeps my legs and feet warm.

3. Full Covered Maroon textured Tights

Once you have mastered the basic tights you may want to venture off and play with color and textures. I decided to keep the color of my tights in the same color family as my top. I have paired the maroon colored tights with my favorite pair of Lucky riding boots.

Thrifty Thursday

Everyone knows I’m always looking for a good deal on items that I buy. So this summer I found a really cute boutique name Sugga’s Thrift Boutique here in Atlanta. They have amazing new merchandise and gently used items from clothes, shoes and accessories for really affordable prices. So while cyber shopping I decided to take a look at some of their products online, and you won’t believe the deal I found on these authentic Ray Ban sunglasses!!! The gently used pair of Rays is only $40.00 bucks! Who can beat that? Ray bans are definitely a classic high end brand that will never go out of style. I thought I caught a deal when I purchased my wafer and aviator Ray Bans last year for $70 each at Century 21 in New York, but Sugga’s definitely beat that deal! Check out the sunglasses and visit Sugga’s Thrift Boutique site at http://www.suggas.org
